Call for Research Scholarship Applications in respiratory diseases
(Asthma, COPD, Small airways dysfunction (SAD))


Chiesi is offering this scholarship to foster innovation and promote research within respiratory medicine. The purpose of Chiesi AIR scholarship is to support research in obstructive respiratory diseases and other chronic lung diseases from either Denmark, Finland or Sweden. The scholarship will paid through a healthcare organization (hospital or research unit). The applicant should hold a PhD in relevant area of research or be a PhD student.

Target groupResearchers based in Denmark, Finland and Sweden, at an early or established stage of their career, with projects related to Asthma, COPD and Small airways dysfunction (SAD).

Evaluation Criteria

Applications will be evaluated based on

Clinical or societal impact, scientific strength, feasibility, alignment with COPD, asthma, or small airways disease, and health equity should be the main evaluation criteria, with less emphasis on innovation or publication history.

Applications must include

  • Project description, including budget and timeline (max 4-5 pages). Please use the application form provided below
  • Short CV and publication list
  • Letter of support from supervisor (for PhD students) or head of department (for others)
